Cart Wars (Jam Edition)
It's the year 2026, armageddon is upon us. Anarchy and disorder wreak through the world as we flee to other stars. But you and your friends? Nah, what else is there to do at the end of the world other than joust on a shopping cart?!

Cart Wars is a rougelike bullet hell type thing with a massive focus on movement.
It uses the theme "Spin to win", I mean, a trolley has as many spinning parts as I can comprehend and if you're a pro then you can use momentum to tactically evade. And it features RNG within what upgrades are available. Enjoy!

Instructions:
Use the mouse to point and hold in your desired direction of travel.
Press/hold shift to boost, however, it is not as stable as just clicking.
For the main menu, use arrow keys and enter to navigate.
(Check your headphone volume, I don't want to accidentally have someones brains blasted out)

Sorry for all the bugs, although, aren't they mandatory in a game jam? Oh, and spelling/grammar. You can't blame me for that at 3am, come on.
I ticked the box for AI code, however, it was only used to explain concepts and partially crush them bugs. I just wanted to be as honest as I could.

The Rambling Of A Poor Man.
This game 100% does not deserve a donation. However, if you like to think of yourself as the best humanitarian, then if you did donate, you would be supporting my effort to buy a computer that isn't a 2012 Mac. Thus allowing for me to work on my actual commercial game. You would be an incredible human and a pretty friendly martian for the small price of no morning Snickers bar.
Thanks!

Farewell...
For The Very Serious Juniper Dev Game Jam. Also, Juniper, if you read this, you are the person who taught me Aseprite, so thank you for that.
Credit <3 : LG on free sound for the engine hum. Other than that, I made everything.
BTW if you get any of the references I made, say so in the comments, but don't give it away. It'l be our little secret ;)

Спасибо (If it's Russian, idk)
Very cool! The game feels very smooth and fluid. I spend way too much time trying to find the enemy tho😅. An enemy location indicator of some kind would have been very helpful.
Thx! After the jam voting ends, that is my immediate update. If you wanna see a full, polished version of the game with more upgrades and some more features, just say!
Cart Wars controls feel surprisingly responsive and fluid, even if the screen can get a bit chaotic with all the red effects flying around. Good thing you warned about the music volume^^
HA! Yeah, I knew speaking from experience of my brains being blasted a 3am coding it. Hope you had a good time!
